InCompass project-Kick-off Conference launched in Dundee

The project Regional Policy Improvement for Financially Sustainable Creative Incubator Units (InCompass project) held its kick‐off conference on 22‐23 February 2012 in Dundee, Scotland. The meeting counted with the participation of the core project consortium, consisting of 15 partners from 12 European countries: Scotland, Spain, Netherlands, Lithuania, Greece, Slovakia, Italy, England, Portugal, Sweden, Hungary and Bulgaria.

Kick-off meeting of the SIVA project

The kick-off meeting of the European project SIVA, which is funded by the South East Europe Transnational Cooperation Programme, took place in Kozani on the 27th and 28th of November 2012. Lead partner of the project is the Regional Association of Local Governments of Western Macedonia, while the consortium consists of eleven (11) partners from southeastern Europe, among which the University of Patras. The project is entitled: "South East Europe improved virtual accessibility through joint initiatives facilitating the rollout of broadband networks".

SIVA project approved under conditions

LDST announces that the project with title "South East Europe improved virtual accessibility through joint initiatives facilitating the rollout of broadband networks - SIVA" has been approved for funding under conditions by the SEE programme.

SIVA project aims to contribute to the improvement of the accessibility of SEE territories through broadband services, as substitute for and supplementing physical accessibility and thus to the narrowing the digital gap in South East Europe.

The planned activities of the project include:

InCompass - 1st Greek Regional Implementation Group meeting

The 1st meeting of the Greek Regional Implementation Group (RIG) of the InCompass project took place on the 11th of July, 2012 at the premises of Chamber of Achaia. Eleven regional stakeholders participated, each having different orientation and positioning in the context of the necessity, in policy terms, for the Region of Western Greece (i) to prioritise the support of the creation of new high-tech innovative companies in its policy agenda and (ii) design and implement corresponding policies.

Second study visit of the InCompass project

The Province of Milan and BIC La Fucina hosted the second study visit of the European project InCompass (Regional Policy Improvement for financially sustainable Creative Incubator Units) financed by the Interreg IV C Programme. The 15 project partners came to Milan to meet the players of the incubation experiences in the field of cultural and creative businesses with the aim of identifying good practices of financial sustainability.

First study visit of the InCompass project

The first InCompass project's study visit took place on 2 and 3 May in the city of Rotterdam. Organized and hosted by the project partner of Delft University of Technology, the partners attending had the opportunity to identify and discuss best practices and models of management regarding the self-sustainability of incubators in creative industries in two referenced centers in Rotterdam - the Creative Factory and RDM Campus.

ICT-VN project Coordination meeting in Ljubljana (Slovenia)

In April 18th the Coordination Committee meeting groups in Ljubljana representative from the 10 partners of the project to monitor it and to plan the final steps of the project, hosted by the Regional Development Agency of Northern Primorska L.t.d., Nova Gorica (Slovenia). ICT Value Networksis an INTERREG 4C project, leaded by Fundacion Dedalo, with a total of 10 partners representing 8 European Regions, which will finish in December 31st first year.

InCompass project approved under conditions

LDST announces that the project with title "Regional Policy Improvement for Financially Sustainable Creative Incubator Units - InCompass" has been approved by the Monitoring Committee of the INTERREG IVC programme under specific financial conditions.
Main objectives of InCompass project are:
1. To identify existing, innovative good practice that contributes towards the achievement of financial sustainability of incubation units for business start-ups in the creative industries.
